Page twelve:
I made this page for Jenni Bowlin’s blog. It was so much fun to make and I tried not to overthink and just let myself go with the flow. I’ve been thinking a lot about knowing who you are and making a point to own it and be proud of it and not try to be something you’re not just to make someone else happy or to look good.
Here’s a video of me making the page:
more next week.
Journey into Collage is a project for 2012. You can read more about it here.
I could only peek at this because of the little 3 year old beside me, but WOW WOW WOW!! Can’t wait to come back and look again and watch video.
I finally got back here tonight, this was so fun to watch. How amazing you were going from one little layer/texture/color to the next and just playing and going with the flow. When I saw this earlier I thought you painted the page then added all the layers, so thank your for having the video showing excatly how you did this. I loved it before you added color and loved it even more with the color on it. The title is POWERFUL and TRUE and so YOU!! I love that about you. You totally inspired me as you always do!! All the embellishments make the page!! Thanks again!!
I enjoyed watching the video too, especially as I am not very good at collage. (Love it…just sort of can’t do it well!) As I was watching I thought…hey! Karen is using a rub on! Didn’t she say once she didn’t like to use rub ons??!?!
Anyway.
Such a fun collage. love it! And is it just me or are those alpha stamps the best???? 🙂
I am so inspired! Was so much fun to watch your page evolve…and I super love how you added the paint at the end of creating this page. I am going to try that approach! Thanks for sharing!
Cheers~
Please do more videos! This helped me so much! I think I need to approach art journaling like a scrapbook page without photos – just a quote or story I want to tell. Love that you added the paint at the end – I would not have realized that was even possible! LOL
