I am officially almost two-months late in posting this but I didn’t want to forget cause it’s so awesome. So here we are:

I had the privilege of participating in a new Ella book by Crystal Wilkerson:

As the name implies, Crystal took paper layouts from several scrapbookers and created digital templates inspired by them and then created her own layouts. Isn’t that awesome!?

Here are some others in the book:
Stacy Julian
Jen Jockisch
Sarah Klemish
Wendy Sue Anderson
Jennifer Pebbles
Jamie Waters
Lisa Dickinson
Kristina Proffitt
Caroline Ikeji

As a bonus, when you buy the book, you get a free digital sampler as well:

And you can buy each of the templates individually from Crystal’s shop. Here’s what my template looks like:

Doesn’t it look so much like a Karen layout??

You can click the photo above to buy the template and click this link to buy the ella book.

And finally, I was told I can do a giveaway for one of you to get the book for free!! So go ahead and leave me a comment. I am trying to figure out what classes to prepare for next year so maybe you can leave me a comment with what classes you’d like to see me teach and if you don’t know me personally or are new here, you can just leave a comment on what kind of online classes you’d like to take, how about that?

I will leave this up until Sunday night and announce the winner Monday morning on 10/31.

This sounds really cool! I only do paper scrapbooking, I’ve never done digital scrapbooking, so this would be a really nice experience. I’ve heard it’s super easy to do, thanks for the chance to win! Jen

  • Oh my such a great give-a-way!! Thanks for the chance to win. And you want to know what class I would like you to teach: how about “How to scrap you Pages like Karen Grünberg”” with the awesome titles and stitching!!

I know I am a digital scrapper, so you know what I am gonna buy!!! But I would love to know how to do it and make my own digital templates.

I see a class coming on, LOL.

Thanks again for the chance to win!!!

I really don’t care what class you give ‘cuz a class with you is entirely amazing! Digital works. Free is always amazing.

  • I just switched to digi this year, so I’d love to win the Ella book. Thanks for the chance.

I heard great things about your Find Your Own Way class, so I hope that will be reoffered as well. I’d like to see you teach a class focused on color and experimenting with color combinations. Love how colorful your layouts are, even with (or because of?) white as the main background.

What a great giveaway! I have two ideas for classes – one a photography class, because I love the opening photos to your blog posts as well as the way the photos of your kids seem to always reflect their personality. It would be awesome if it touched base on post processing as well. Another class that I’ve heard wonderful things about after the fact is Telling Stories Deeply. Getting the authentic ‘me’ on my layouts has become very important to me.

  • What an awesome giveaway.. I’m new to your blog and I just love the layouts and the creativity you share.. I’d love to see more classes on your process of creating layouts from start to finish.

  • I love your sb style, I love your desire to create your path of happiness and life fulfillment. If you can design a class that has those type of elements it will be great. I encourage you to go with your instinct and design a class that even you want to enroll. Thanks for inspiring always positive things for me.

  • I have taken some of your journaling classes and loved them. I would love more prompts to spark my creativity as well as something about creating awesome titles, or maybe even finding your own style and being true to yourself. I think there could be a link between the way we choose to dress, to decorate our homes and our scrapping style.

Karen love your sb style and art journals too. I think I second the photography class and the way you enhance them too. I have been really looking for a class to take and am thinking of calligraphy or water color so far.

    Hi Karen,
a class on art journaling, techniques, tools, inspiration, sketching and finding your own way would be awesome – great, great givewawy

    Thank you
    Zewa

  • I must say that I actually found you via Pinterest while I was looking for things for my Project Life/December Daily. So first & foremost THANK YOU for the AWESOME free downloads they SUPER ROCK & the I have been enjoying and feeling so inspired by your blog. I thought I should come out of the hiding since I’ve been stopping by for the past 2 weeks :)I am happy I’ve found your little place in bloggy land!

What a great giveaway! Lots of great ideas for classes too from reading everyone’s post. Photo editing and learning how to not be afraid of white space in layouts. I love your layouts and appreciate your use of balance.

How to get a real and authentic voice in journaling be it art journaling or the journaling on my pages. Sometimes everything feels manufactured instead of real. Not sure how to accomplish what I am trying to.

ohhhh…. nice give away! LOVE that she turned your LO into digi! Why didn’t I think of that? It would be so much easier than trying to recreate your work in paper haha. (but my DIL LOVES her calendar I did, using your beautiful designs! Keep ’em comin…)

LOVE your work! (but you already know that)

Thank you for the link. I must confess I bought the template inspired by your work straight away. It’ll be perfect to scrap my little niece. I took your embrace imperfection class this year and loved it. I am waiting to take “Find your way” as the description sounds absolutely perfect for me to discover my own style. A class on digiscrap would be the perfect complement to “find your way” for me as I digiscrap only using templates. So learning how to scrap a page from scratch would be fab, as would learning how to create elements, templates etc. A class on photography would also be awesome as I too adore your opening photographs. A class on journaling would also be great. You have been a great inspiration in thoughtful journaling and I have scrapped a few pages in which I have really opened up and these are the pages that mean the most to me.

What a great template made from you, that is perfect for you, LOVE IT!! I never even thought to put your style into digi, it does look nice. Would love a chance to win this great book and learn some digital scrapping and use your template.

Ideas for classes by YOU!! That would be easy….

    1. ART JOURNAL…. all of it from beginning to end and video’s with how you do your pages and what your thinking

    2. Sketching Same as above

    3. Journaling, on SB pages, Art pages, LIFE anything by you would be great!! Also more on titles.

    4. A repeat of Finding Your Way or a class just above that step. I loved that class and miss it soooo much.

    5. Class with SB and art journal combined would be fun too.

    6. Class with daily inspiration prompts and we make a SB or a art journal from it.

Is that enough ideas, haha actually I would take any class by you just because YOU ROCK!!
Thanks so much for the giveaway and it was fun to read all the other comments too.

p.s. I just thought of your weekly journal too, add that in and it would be great also.

  • I like sketch classes & classes about daily journals. Not art journals, but scrapbook journals, lol.

  • I’d love to see you teach a art/journaling class with a purpose, perhaps something related to your recent meaningful musings

  • Susan Usry

I read you regularly! Would love to have a sketch/layout class next year. Maybe like a month or two long??

    Thanks!
    Susan

  • Rosa

I am also trying to get into art journaling but I can never justify just playing with art when I have so many pictures waiting for me…maybe “Art journaling with a purpose” like cate said
