Here are some details from the page:
Pan pastels, some acrylics, sequin waste, stamps, Tim Holtz stencil and some ink. Not a big favorite. These pages are just not speaking to me as much as I would like them to but I cannot put my finger on why. I do eventually figure things out a bit but it takes about 10 more pages for me to get there.
If you have questions about anything specific, just leave me a comment and I promise I will respond.
I am creating multiple art journaling pages a week for July and August (and maybe longer). You can read more about it and the book I am using for these pages at the top of this blog post.
I think it’s wonderful but I do know what you mean about having them not always speak to you. Almost as if you are searching for more within the vision you had in your head but can’t quite make it appear on the paper. BUT rest assured it’s a beautiful page none the less and I find many things to love about it. I adore the top right corner… there is a beautiful richness to the colors and a wonderful depth to your layering of elements.
thank you for your kindness. you’re right that there’s always something to love even with a page I don’t love overall 🙂
Are you using StazOn for the inking of stamps? I’m afraid to use this product in fear of staining my rubber stamps and having other color inks smeared with black. Is thus how it works or do you have a different technique?
I use Rangers ink. I can’t stand the smell of StazOn so I won’t use it. It does color my stamps but I don’t care 🙂
oh and if you clean them well even if the stamp is colored black, it will not transfer that when you stamp with color.
This is beautiful Karen, love love the richness of the colors. Always inspiring, thanks for sharing.
Great colors and such nice butterflies…
