Daily Sketching – Week 17

Here are the sketches from this week.

Wednesday, I made this woman.

the next day, I did this hugging couple mostly because i thought there was no way I could do it:

Friday I did this girl which reminds me so very very much of my childhood. I encourage you to click through the pin and read the blog post of the artist:

on Saturday I wanted to do something more time-consuming so I tried this amazing piece but I got my proportions wrong and got frustrated with myself:

on Sunday, I did another girl by the same artist from earlier this week.

Monday was these cute birds.

Tuesday was back to the same artist and her girls. I love this artist and want to continue exploring her style and seeing what I like and what calls me.

and here we are. as always some are ok others not so great. let’s see what next week brings.

I am so glad that gratitude is a big part of your life. Your drawing practice is showing amazing improvement – proof that you don’t need a “class” to get you from A to B, it’s all about applying it. Thank you for your email. I am riding the waves of some changes right now, my mother’s health is fore front and my relationship is very, very precarious. And so I find myself without much foundation to step on as I move through these times. But my spirit is strong as is my resolve. And I trust in the “powers/divine/name-it-yourself” that is picking me up and taking me through. I, too, wished I lived closer so we could do in person coffee and not just virtual coffee. I am glad you like the connection we do make through our virtual coffee though, it is a great creative expression on my part.

  • They are fantastic, it makes me want to start drawing again… I say it and say it but I need to do it.

  • I love the girl with the long curly hair and the little bird… great drawings.
