Picky Eater

Here’s another recent layout. This was for a transparency competition
over at AMM. Hard to see
the effect from a photo.

Journaling Reads:
I guess it’s only fair that a picky eater like me would get a picky
little boy. The list of foods you eat is teeny tiny. Thankfully, you
like a lot of fruits. But not much else. Here’s all you eat without a
fight:
Pear
Apple
Grapes
Bananas
Blueberries
Strawberries
Graham Crackers
Veggie Burgers
Meatballs
Cheese
Yogurt
Bread

Here’s a closeup of the inside of this layout:

The GOOD thing about picky eaters is that they GROW into foods. At least they’re willing to try something new. At about age 6. If you leave them alone.

My David ate grilled cheese sandwichs every single day for three years. Nothing else. Mother-in-law said, “There’s something wrong.” I said, “Leave him alone, he eats.” Doctor said, “If you leave him alone, he’ll grow into foods.”

As we approach Dave’s 22nd birthday, and he eats everything but beef, his favorite meal remains tomato soup and a grilled cheese sandwich. It’s like comfort food.

Let’s face it, your David is gorgeous. Leave him alone. If he wants to try it, he will. If he wants to eat it, he will. And in 20 years, it won’t matter.
