Your Words

I don’t know that this is the prettiest layout I’ve ever done but it’s
important for me to store this memory. David’s speech is a bit behind
and the doctor told me to go to a speech therapist with him for an
evaluation. I tend to have the personality of a person who’d completely
freak out at this kind of information so I used this layout as therapy
to show myself all the words David does say and how much he’s progressed
compared to two months ago.

Hi Karen. I was checking out your new additions and wanted to share a thought I had with you. My son was also behind in his speech around the age of two – I had to translate much of what he said to anyone. Today at four his speech is more sophisticated than any other kids we know, including the ones who were coherent much earlier on. That’s all!

    Karen,

I just love this new addition.

Boys talk when they have something to say. It doesn’t mean anything. David has more important things to do than sit and talk to you… There’s cars to be played with, books to read, cookies to eat. Tomorrow he’ll wake up and give you an earful, usually starting mid-paragraph because he has something important to say. Be thankful it won’t be some trivia about some musician.
