Today was a good day! I did some art last night so I was feeling happy and took it really really easy. I did my exercise, read to david, and then spent the whole day reading my book. David colored for a while, wearing his Irish hat from school.
Then he asked me to take a photo of him with it.
Then he played Wii for a bit as I worked with Jake.
And then it was family photo time. Daddy and Nathaniel played as I set up.
Here we are in the middle of tickle-time.
Me attempting to get a shot while everyone else is completely disinterested.
And finally more tickling.
I read an entire book today and we’re now off to see the same book’s movie. Yey! After that I hope to do a bit more art. No pressure. A Lot of rest. That’s the plan for this weekend. So far, so good.
Three Things I’m Grateful For:
1. I am grateful for a day of quiet, relaxing reading.
2. I am grateful for my kids and how they just quietly played all day, too.
3. I am grateful for date night. Love my hubby. Love the movies. Love date night.
Three Things David’s Grateful For:
1. I am grateful that tomorrow’s family night {* his pick for the journal}
2. I am grateful that I got extra time to stay up tonight
3. I am grateful that I played wii today
Hi Karen,
I just wanted to pop in and say Hi. I hope you feel better this week. Life does seem to flow along with constant ups and downs, doesn’t it? Just when you get where you want to be, the landscape changes yet again… I guess we have to just tell ourselves that’s what makes it interesting. Personally, I’d be ok if it wasn’t so interesting sometimes!
I’ve been doing OK. I’ve had fairly stressful work lately too. Hopefully that will improve this week for me! I had a really good, restful weekend. I couldn’t quite believe it, but I spent seven hours straight in my scrapbook room yesterday. I got so many 1/2 done things completed, it feels great! Today Husband and I took a long ride and had dinner with my son, his girlfriend, and my darling granddaughter Carmen. My son surprised me with “chicks and hens”, the little plants? He ran mine over with the lawn mower–on my birthday, which he and my hubby forgot!–a few years ago. So out of the blue, he saw some and got them for me. I was quite touched. He’s really quite a wonderful kid (Kid! He’s 35!) Anyways, I’m rambling… Just wanted to say Hi. I’ve been following your blog and keeping up with classes at BPS (Finding My Way, Ali Edwards Yesterday & Today, and Stacy’s iScrap) but busy otherwise. Have a great week, feel better!
