And here are the drawings for this week.
I am still working out the details on how to do each facial part.
Especially the nose. I struggle with the nose.
I am still enjoying these quite a bit. But I am also struggling. Just trying to take it one day at a time and focus on drawing the faces.
Six Portraits a Week is a weekly project for 2011. You can read more about it here.
Just a thought, just a thought
I wonder if instead of doing portraits maybe one week you concentrate on eyes, another on lips, then noses, except that is not you objective, so maybe not a valid sugestion..I just wondered if by breaking it apart and then puttting it back together
No? Maybe just ignore me
not at all. i tihnk it’s a good idea. but i am just not pulled to do it somehow. even though i know that’s what i need to do 🙁
I love the way you have done their eyes. I was so captured by their eyes that I didn’t even notice there noses until I read what you wrote.
when i draw a face i use my held up pencil to their image/photo and measure the ratios between their features. as a rule the outside of the nose matches up with the inside of the eyebrows. hope this helps!
