Yes I went on a Donlea spree. Why not. His books are fun, fast, and while a bit creepy, I loved Rory/Lane so I was excited to read more of them.

I love Naomi Novik. Her writing is so beautiful. Her ideas are so heartwarming and joyful and interesting. Her characters always stay with me and this beautiful story was no exception. If anything, it’s proof that she’s so talented and can create deeply memorable characters and stories in much shorter format. I also loved how visual and creative this one was. with gratitude to netgalley and Del Rey for an advanced copy in exchange for an honest review.
Loved this one, too. Fun idea. Imagine how it would feel if it turns out you’re the long lost child of a creepy rich family….
I enjoy Donlea’s novels. I like his style and I love how it all comes together.
Loved this. We need more books that tell different people’s stories so people can understand that there are so many ways to love and be loved. I loved the graphics too!!
This one was really interesting and kept me on edge the whole time.
Another Lapena book that I know I read in one swallow and then completely forget. What does that say about the book (or me?)
i love Charlie Jane Anders. What talent. This book is different and sweet and i love that all the characters are interesting and well developed. I love how complex the family relationships are. I loved so much of this book even though it was a bit of a slow read for me.
I have no idea how I found this book but my hold came up in the library and I figured i’ll give it a shot and I am so glad I did. It was so much fun! loved it!!
I usually get sick of a book after i read two of a series back to back but this was enjoyable and fun! What a fun random find!
Ok I might be an exception, but this book was TERRIBLE! It was really just an excuse for the author to show off how smart and well-read she is. The characters are one-dimensional. There’s no actual spark. The book drops a million names and ideas without explaining any of them. What a waste.
Excellent and interesting. What an unusual premise and so well written. This book is about friendship, beauty, art, and jealousy. There’s also a lot of interesting ideas about possible futures and love and it’s truly unique. Worth reading. |
