The Music of Your Laughter Brings so much Joy Into My Life

This layout is for Write.Click.Scrapbook’s February Gallery. The theme is to scrap “music”.

Journaling Reads:
My sweet boys, even though having two boys around means a lot of noise that drives me crazy, it also means a lot of laughter and giggling, and there’s nothing I love to hear as much as the two of you giggling and making up games together and giggling some more. Especially when the games end up in hugs and kisses. I feel so blessed to get to hear all this laughter all day long. I love you.

Mom Said How did I End up this Lucky?

I had the honor of being the December 2010 Guest designer for October Afternoon. This is one of the layouts I made for them.

Journaling Reads:
I look at the two of you playing together on the floor, taking turns to add blocks to your structure and I wonder what I did to deserve this amazing life. These wonderful children. How did I get so lucky? You two are by far the greatest accomplishments of my life. I love you more than there are words to describe and I count my blessings each and every single day. June 10.

If You See it You Put it on

I had the honor of being the December 2010 Guest designer for October Afternoon. This is one of the layouts I made for them.

Journaling Reads:
I know it must be so tempting to see so many things lying around that don’t belong to you. David’s clothes, toys, and workbooks. My clothes and my phone and computers, gadgets all look so appealing, especially singe you see me use them so often. So as much as I can, I try to indulge you. I let you play with the headphones and socks, etc. But I draw the line at markers and computers. Just not yet my son. Soon.

Because I worried You Would be Like Me

I had the honor of being the December 2010 Guest designer for October Afternoon. This is one of the layouts I made for them.

Journaling Reads:
One of my biggest regrets as an adult is that I never learned how to ride a bike when I was a kid. I tried a few times in my twenties and even in my thirties but it’s much harder when you’re older. So I am adamant that Daddy teach you how to ride a bike so that you will not end up like me and enjoy many years of bike riding like all kids. I love you my wonderful David.

Always Willing to Try Anything for a Few Moments

I had the honor of being the December 2010 Guest designer for October Afternoon. This is one of the layouts I made for them.

Journaling Reads:
My little boy, you’re quite adventurous. You’re willing to try and explore everything. David’s toys and clothes are all exciting to you. So are new foods and places. But this openness generally only lasts for a few seconds. Sometimes so short that I can’t even captures it in film. So I was very happy to capture this brief moment of joy you had when you put on the baseball cap on. And then it was off, of course.

I Often Wish you Could Talk But Even More so During these Sad Moments

I had the honor of being the December 2010 Guest designer for October Afternoon. This is one of the layouts I made for them.

Journaling Reads:
My sweet boy, I know that you will eventually talk and tell us everything on your mind but for now I have to try and guess or observe you very closely so I can attempt to deduce what you’re thinking or what you want. On any day, this is hard and I can’t wait until you can articulate your own wishes. But especially hard on days when I see you sad, pensive and frowning. I want to reach into your head and read all your sad thoughts so I can make them go away. I know you will soon talk so for now I just do what I can: hold you tight and kiss you.
