I have saved this pair of jeans for 21 years. They traveled with me from Turkey to Pittsburgh to New York to San Diego and to the Bay Area. People told me to throw them out several times. “You can never fit the jeans you wore at 17.” I heard again and again. But I couldn’t bear to give up. And now that I am finally losing all this weight, I can finally fit into them once again (they don’t close just yet but still.) miracles do happen.

The Proof and Joy of Progress

This was one of the layouts I made for Maya Road for CHA. I love that it contains no patterned paper. Nothing but Maya Road products (except the little Jenni Bowlin stickers.)

I have been trying to act healthier and lose weight for over three months now. I work out every single day and I eat much more carefully. I went shopping for clothes last weekend and was shocked to find that I can now fit into a skirt sized four. Four! I have never been a size four in my life. It’s so nice to have proof of all the hard work I’ve been doing and the hours of sweat I put into it.

I am Deeply Grateful for You

Nathaniel as you grow up more and more we all keep falling in love even more deeply with you. You know how to charm all of us with your hugs and smiles and your oh-uh’s. You love your brother and father so much and you hug me so tightly. I am so so grateful that we have you in our lives little boy. We love you.

At Almost Six You are Already Incredible and Amazing

This is a Maya Road layout for CHA. All products are Maya Road except the little letters from Making Memories.

My wonderful son, you are going to be six in a month and I am continually amazed by how incredible you are. You read so well and you’re kind and loving with your brother and patient and generous with me and you love to play with legos ad use your imagination. I have no idea what I did to deserve you but I am so grateful and I cannot wait to have another year together.
