so many people i love loved this book. I think parts of it are great and maybe it really should not be listened to on audio but I think the audio is not as good as I wish it were and parts of it really made me upset. So I am giving this a 3.5 and rounding up.
I checked out this book at least 20 times before I finally read it. I liked it fine but somehow I think small town, cozy mystery is not my thing. It was ok just not as interesting as I would have liked. I think i would have enjoyed watching this as a movie though.
This was touching and sweet (and don’t you love that cover!) but somehow it left me a little empty. I am not sure I can put my finger on the why and I am still glad I read it.
This was intense, and hard to read at times. but it was really well written and a fascinating story. I love redemption stories and I am so so glad it worked out well for the author.
3.5 stars I loved this idea of a lost bookshop and i loved both storylines. I think it was a tough week for me so i wasn’t paying as much attention as i could have so some of it didn’t connect for me but I still loved it.
i loved the premise of this book and it was clever and funny. but it was also hard to keep track of at times and sometimes a bit too clever 🙂
I love Sarah Cray’s art. I love the way this book is organized so it can meet you where you are, at any skill level and it gives you light and easy exercises and slowly ramps up to more and more complicated ones. I love that the supplies also ramp up with your level of experience. I’ve never seen a book structured this way and I really loved it. It’s a book you can come back to again and again as you learn more and want to keep challenging yourself and want to keep growing and having fun. with gratitude to netgalley and Quarto Publishing Group for an advanced copy in exchange for an honest review
I have never done inner child work and I wanted to for a long time so I was curious to see what this book would recommend. It’s broken into three parts and while not all of it spoke to me, I really liked all the exercises and I ended up doing 20 pages of journaling as a result of answering all her prompts. I also loved her honesty, humor and examples. If, like me, you haven’t done a ton of work but were curious I think you will like this book. with gratitude to netgalley and Ulysses Press for an advanced copy in exchange for an honest review
This was light and fun. It’s been a stressful few months so I’ve been enjoying lighter reads that distract me but don’t take too much of my energy. Loved this one.
I started and stopped this book several times and I am so glad I made my way through it. It was actually quite good. I like Harrow’s stories and I love her imagination. |
