HAPPY BIRTHDAY my wonderful, lovely, amazing boy! An incredible three
years have passed and to 300 more.
After he blew the candles out, David grabbed one of the cupcakes and
passed one to me and one to Daddy. How generous is that?
Today was David’s 3-year doctor’s appointment. He weighs 34 lbs. He’s at
75% for both height and weight. Healthy, happy kid all around. Yey!
This is David and Michelle, his speech therapist. Michelle is David’s
best friend. He asks us about her every day.
Today was David’s first dentist appointment. Let’s just say it wasn’t
his favorite time. Hopefully we’ll only go up from here. This was, by
far, the funniest moment of the appointment. David had picked up one of
the sample toothpaste tubes from the waiting room. When they gave him a
tooth brush, he wanted to immediately brush his teeth. As soon as he put
it in his mouth, he tasted the mint and hated it immediately. So he
stuffed his mouth with paper to get the taste out, shouting “Yuck yuck
yuck,” the whole time.
Jake’s mom got David these tubes. He loves playing with them. And I
couldn’t skip this face.
This is one of my favorite photos of David in the last few days. He has
a scab on his chin and keeps picking at it, hence the band aid.
Today I came home to David wearing this little backpack book my sister
has gotten him when he was born. He said, “I, Diego Mommy.” Then he said
he was looking for Dora. He didn’t take it off all night. More reason I
love him so much.
And I made it to the end of month one! I can’t tell you how happy it
makes me to watch David read.
David and I got to play with crayons today. He likes them a lot. It must
be in his genes.
Little boy, happy to have mom back. And I love the lip-bite.
I was out of town for Monday and Tuesday so big thanks goes to Jake for
taking these photos. Except for the one taken from my computer. He was
wonderful enough to setup a video chat with me so I could see David from
the hotel room.
