Here is the next spread from our book: This page is a collection of valentines he got this year. David’s Book of Good Memories is a bi-weekly project for 2012 with my seven-year-old son David. You can read more about it here. Here are some snapshots from our week: The boys playing ghosts. and chasing each other. and screaming. we took a little hike in freemont. It was sunny and windy but not humid or hot. David working on a 2013 project. boys playing outside. they asked me to take this photo. i love when they ask me. jake’s been taking the kids to the library a lot and i love all the variety of books we have. david’s into physics and spiderman this week. nathaniel collecting cars and saying both want to park in the same spot and how this is horrible! he’s growing up so quickly. but still running for his life. and he spent some time going through all my scrapbooks. there’s something I love about this shot. i love our family photos so much. yelling we love daddy!! and tickle-time!! and here we go. i hope your week was lovely, too. Weekly Diary is a project for 2012. You can read more about it here. As I mentioned, I plan to keep this project simple and fun for both of us. So, I did the same thing with this letter as I did for letter A and all the others. I cut them all up and then, Nathaniel and I glued them down together to create this simple page: Like each time, we talked about each of the words and then differentiated between capitals and lowercase. Then we colored all the letters. Here he is gluing: and coloring Yey! Nathaniel is still loving this project! Letters with Nathaniel is a weekly project for 2012. You can read more about it here. Here are some snapshots from our week: Jake’s mother was in town and she helped us dig up and fix and plant in the front yard. She didn’t help us, she did the whole thing. The boys loved helping her. she did the biggest amount of work and we’re so grateful. nathaniel always gets sad when he doesn’t wake up from his nap properly. When he’s sad like this there’s nothing I can do. I just have to wait for him to wake up all the way. thankfully he gets happy pretty quickly. and then moves right to “silly.” he’s still sucking his thumb too even though he knows the dentist said he has to stop. david’s been really into comics lately. i don’t know why he likes farside though, i never get the jokes. they played in the backyard some this week. and i love how nathaniel watches him just like all little brothers everywhere. my awesome boys. happy boys! and then there were the family shots. we’re yelling “we love mommy!!” and then laughing. and tickling. and here we go. i hope your week was lovely, too. Weekly Diary is a project for 2012. You can read more about it here. Here is the next spread from our book: A valentine, a welcome letter from his teacher, a lucky coin and a ticket from Alcatraz. Another week light on photos, I’ve been working a lot and not snapping as much but alas such is life. Here are some snapshots from our week: Nathaniel getting his own cereal. I told him to sit down but not before I took a photo of course. david’s been building some awesome legos. i just haven’t been reaching for my camera for some reason. so i snapped some mid-week, feeling guilty. but then didn’t reach again for a week. and i love this one even though it’s out of focus. we did the family shot of course. we screamed “we love david!!” and then repeated it for all family members. and just laughed. and then tickled and tickled. and here we go. i hope your week was lovely, too. Another week light on photos, I’ve been working a lot and not snapping as much but alas such is life. Here are some snapshots from our week: Nathaniel watching his movie while David watches Harry Potter. Checking out my collage journal, look how big it is. And then some laughter. and the beloved blankie. he can’t help but laugh. nor can David. this week they both had stuffed friends. David decided he wanted a “Hobbes” so of course Nathaniel, too. He told me his friends are helping him eat. then there was sandcastle making. which meant good light for mommy. so I snapped of course. a few new legos for the boys for being so so nice to me while I had to work so hard. and there’s david with his buddy. the light here was really bad but i love how Nathaniel is sitting with his daddy, both on their phones. then it was family photo time and tickle time, of course. and here we go. i hope your week was lovely, too. This week was also light on photos, I’ve been working a lot and not snapping as much but alas such is life. Here are some snapshots from our week: Nathaniel is literally the joy of my week. He’s so happy and funny and fun. David’s been doing 20 pages a day on top of his Harry Potter books. He’s reading like crazy. I am so proud. The boys put on some blankets this week and Nathaniel was Batman and David was Robin. David did Nathaniel’s cape. there was much running. and chasing. and laughter. david’s also doing Khan Academy every day. He’s doing subtraction with borrowing at the moment. the boys built a city on their table this week. They broke it into sections and each took two. Heliports, garages, museums and all. Here are some snapshots from our week: A few months ago we signed up for the San Fran Color Run and I couldn’t wait for it to arrive. I couldn’t bring my SLR there so the photos aren’t that great, but they still capture the memories. The weather was really cold and it took a while for all of us to get into it but David loved getting sprayed and even rolled around the colorful ground. I was pretty covered by the end. so were Jake and the kids. David even had color on his teeth. I don’t think Nathaniel understood what was going on but he was ok about the whole thing. and got quite a lot of color himself. all in all, it was wonderful! Nathaniel also got a new bike and he enjoys riding it often. the boys have been making cities, garages and electronic creations at home. This was “traffic.”. David started a blog where he shares his lego stuff and he made this for the blog. There was some hugging, of course. and laughing! The boys also played with my china marker. they loved how the white writes on the kraft paper. david’s been reading harry potter again and again on the reader. then it was family shot time. and tickle time. and here we go. i hope your week was lovely, too.
