There are almost none. Maybe it’s to prepare for December or too much work this week. Either way, here are some snapshots from our week: i love watching the kids play with the Christmas tree in the background. Nathaniel watching Mickey Mouse while I scrapped for CHA. david looking up lego ornament ideas online. He made a whole bunch. I will make sure to share them. I wanted to take our photo in front of the tree this week but the light was so low and so I had to turn other lights on and got bad lighting and color overall. Oh well. Still prefer to have these than not to have them. i try to close the aperture as much as i can despite the low light since Nathaniel always does this: and blurs out the whole shot. So we always have to pull him back. there was some tickle time. which they loved. and then some hugging that Nathaniel just didn’t want to be a part of this time. See those tears? Sweet boy of mine. and here we go. i hope your week was lovely, too. hello, December. Weekly Diary is a project for 2012. You can read more about it here. David helped a lot. and so did Nathaniel. the boys were happy during photo time (nathaniel’s been having a runny nose and so a lot of red around his nose and mouth.) they laughed and laughed. we talked about what we loved. and hugged. and even tickled a bit. and here we go. i hope your week was lovely, too. happy thanksgiving. Here are some snapshots from our week: the kids were home on Monday and played legos pretty much all day cause I had work. david built this big truck that was getting gas. i made a folder to hold all my coaching clients and my information. little boy continued to just add cheer to our lives. he’s really into milk and cereal and likes to do it on his own. he mixes two together. and gets sad if he’s told to do it any other way. David had some thanksgiving themed math homework this week. and got a medal from chess class. he was very excited. it’s been so dark here that family photo time has to keep moving. i kept trying to find a good time and position for the boys. nathaniel was in top form today and kept thrashing and laughing. i tried to be all serious. but he would have none of it. kept laughing and yelling and laughing more. and broke me down, of course. he was just so very enthusiastic. we couldn’t stop laughing. he did finally quiet down to give a family hug (but only for a second.) and here we go. i hope your week was lovely, too. Here are some snapshots from our week: David was the class reporter this week at school so we all went to watch him and Jake played with Nathaniel while I ran to get some coffee. This is what they built: Here’s the librarian presenting before David. She is talking about creating clean water by using different filters. She also talked about doing that with our thoughts and checking for three things before we talked: Truth (is what I am saying actually true?), Goodness (is what I am saying something good?), and Usefulness (is what I am saying useful to this situation?). I loved this and have a lot more to say once I can get myself to sit and write again. here’s David presenting. He talked about learning about the digestive system. Here’s what he said: Hi my name is David and I’m in Ms. X’s second grade class. In science we are learning about the human body. First we learned how you bite into an apple. You use your incisors to tear down the apple then your molars to grind it up. Then we learned about the digestive system. First it goes though the mouth, then the throat, the esophagus, the stomach and then the small intestine. I wonder what we’re going to do next! Thanks for listening! here he is drawing the digestive system at school. he also came home with another puppet this week. I loved this one. It’s right next to a Mediterranean place so while they get frozen yogurt, I get rice. nathaniel’s been enjoying the orange hat. and he’s often my happy place during the work. cause he loves being silly. and makes me laugh and laugh and laugh. We went to a new pumpkin patch. David wasn’t sure he liked it. and the train was a bit more boring than the other one. david wasn’t in the mood for me to take photos. and nathaniel was a little scared. but they each got to pick a little pumpkin for riding the train. and i wanted to take a photo of them with the pumpkins. that night, Nathaniel woke up and threw up and then continued to throw up and be sick for two days. He had a fever of 103 and couldn’t even keep the medicine down. It was terrible. david made some paper flowers at school. by Tuesday, thankfully Nathaniel was all better and went to school where he got to decorate a pumpkin with his third grade buddy. and then it was halloween! the kids both wanted to wear the same costume as last year! and they loved it. i got some cupcakes for my upcoming class and nathaniel was super sad he couldn’t eat one so we got another box and he got to have one. there was a lot of anticipation. deliberate action. excitement. licking up the small mess and finally diving in. david brought yet another puppet home. and nathaniel made cute faces while fishing. then it was family photo time. where he made us laugh and laugh some more. and made funny faces. and we decided to give tickle time a rest for a while so now we end our photo time with a big family hug. and here we go. i hope your week was lovely, too.
