This week’s pick is about abundance. An abundance of kindness. Being open to receiving it and to giving it. Being kind even when the other person might not fully deserve it. Being kind for no reason. Being kind without waiting for anything in return. Being kind because it makes me feel wonderful to be kind. My goal this year is always be as kind as I can be, and then be a bit kinder than that.

This week’s pick is another serenity pick. I used to absolutely adore taking baths. I remember, as a kid, I’d draw myself a bath, full of bubbles, put some fruit in a bowl and dive in with a wonderful book. I’d spend hours in the bath. Until the water got so chilly that I had to get out. I used to love the bubbles. I used to love the calm that spread over my skin, my body in that water. I could use more of that any time.

This week’s pick painting. I love paint. I love the feel of it on my fingers. I love how alive it makes me feel. I love color. I love learning. I love its texture. I love how it makes me feel. I am so grateful that I discovered mixed media and never looked back. Here’s to painting for the rest of my life!

This week’s pick is another honor for serenity. There is nothing like books to bring peace into my life. A cup of tea and a good book can get me through the toughest days. Books can help me forget everything. They can help me find my center. They make me feel full. Grateful. Serene. There’s not one moment in my life that I am not near at least five books. I never, ever leave the house without my books. Ever. They have always been my very best friends in the world. I am deeply grateful.

This week’s pick is about feeling alive. No matter what people say, there are some people who are just doers. I value presence and I value serene. But I also value getting things done. It’s who I am. It’s what brings me joy and fulfillment. I love learning. I love growing. It makes me feel alive. It gives me joy. And I love feeling that.

This week’s pick is to being alive. Being brave. Choosing to fly. Being edgy. Being who you are when no one’s watching. Wearing your wings. Spreading them and flying again and again. I wanted to do something different this time. I used more black than I usually would. I have mixed feelings about it. It’s feeling edgy to me. But also not like me. Not my usual soft and happy colors. Sometimes it’s good to try new things.

This week is all about abundance. About glitter and leaving a trail of it. Sharing the good. Sprinkling it all over everyone. Being generous with everything. My time, my kindness, my love, my sweetness, my patience. My kindness. Here’s to sprinkling glitter every single day.

This week, I decided to remember serenity. I feel like this year, I’ve done a good job honoring the alive and possibly even open, but not so much on serene. I want to take moments to embrace peace. Moments to sit with a blanket and some tea. To watch the sea. To honor being here. Being now. To honor the privilege of my life. This week is all about remembering that.

This week’s pick is one that makes me feel every one of my core desired feelings: the sea. I love the sea. I crave the sea. I am so grateful for the sea. There’s nothing as magical as the sound of the waves hitting the shore. I am so glad to be so close to the sea and I need to remember to visit the sea way more often.

Even though I like lattes as much as the next person, at heart, I’m a tea person. A cup of tea and a blanket to curl up in is enough to make me feel centered and serene. Add a good book to the combination and I won’t move from my spot for hours.
So thankful for simple pleasures in life.

This photo of the house by the sea makes me happy each time I look at it. To me, the sea is the culmination of all things that I want to feel. It simultaneously makes me feel serene and alive. The sea is also abundant and so very open. I am never happier than when I am by the sea.
Maybe one day, I’ll be lucky enough to have my own little house by the sea.

It was only fair that I tackle abundance next since I did all the other three in previous weeks. This was the perfect picture for it. I love how it looks and it reminds me that there’s plenty to go around. The text says “I open my hands to blessings.” Blessings. There are so many of them. Enough to feed me and everyone around me.
I am so grateful for the abundance in my life.
