For the next day, we got adventurous again and rented a car to drive to the Blue Mountains. We specifically picked Scenic World so we could do the trains and trams, etc.

We stopped by the Botanical Gardens to see the wall of flowers and then walked all the way to Mrs Macquarie’s Chair which had wonderful views.

The next morning, we wanted to take it easy. When we walked outside, we saw twenty birds at the house next to ours. Beautiful, colorful parrots were eating the apple and pear our neighbor had put out. We stayed there to watch for quite some time. We then started the walk over to Woolloomooloo (which is the best named place ever!)

The next day we decided to be adventurous and rented a car to drive down the Grand Pacific Drive which we were told was stunning views. It was.

The next day we all took buses to Bondi so we could do the Bondi to Coogee walk. It was incredibly cold when we first got there (it was Winter in Sydney!) but it warmed up and the walk was magnificent of course.

After Circular Quay, we walked down to the Sydney Opera House. No one else appreciated the magnificence like I did though.

Our first day in Sydney, we were all wiped. We walked to Circular Quay and Nathaniel ended up sleeping on my lap in a cafe.

The next day was our flight to Sydney for the second half of our vacation. The kids were in a good mood.

On the way to Port Douglas, we stopped at Hartley’s Crocodile Adventure which also was a huge hit. The kids loved seeing the crocodiles and getting to feed and touch so many unusual animals.

On our last day in Cairns, we drove up to Port Douglas as we’d heard it was a fantastic drive. It didn’t disappoint.

On the way back from Kuranda, we got the Skyrail which was a huge hit with the kids. We also laughed at these fake Instagram frames that were along the path.
