  Wonderful, colourful series of shots. I have to agree with Chet above, you’re being too hard on yourself. Looks like everybody was having a great time, and I think you captured the sense of that quite nicely.

  I suppose the phrase “beauty is in the eyes of the beholder” applies to photography as well. This group has interesting subjects, clear/sharp images making for some very cool pix. I don’t think you should expect every picture to be perfect.

  I had a pre-imagined image all ready for your description, boy was I wrong! While I don’t get simplicity from this it sure is a great picture. (But then again, if you see my entry I got no closer to the theme and maybe even further from it.)

  I really like this image — I’d walk by this same scene a hundred times and never think to photograph it… You got it perfect — love the colors — and the pattern…
