Here’s what I read today that had me think:
Don’t save something for a special occasion. Every day of your life is a special occasion. -Thomas S. Monson
and i thought: a fancy pair of heels, some paint i’ve been hoarding, a dress i love, dishes that make me happy, an art journal i bought weeks ago, my desires to travel, and maybe saddest of them all: my happiness a bit.
What are you saving for a special occasion?
Love this quote! Yes, every day IS SPECIAL. I’m retired and found that I was leaving all of my “good stuff” to only use when someone special came over! Now, after a couple of years of that, I’ve decided to use anything whenever I want! What am I saving it for? I’m 66…. life could end any time so I decided to do whatever I want (if I can afford it) whenever I want, and use my good stuff every day if I want! I have stuff stashed (that I stashed when I was working) to use “when I retire”, and here I am and it’s still stashed! This saying gave me the kick I needed to get it out and use it NOW!
yey! I hope you do!! 🙂
