Happy December!!
We started the day all tired. Even David’s been sleeping later in the mornings. Maybe it’s the winter sluggishness. I spent most of the day lying and trying to get stuff done. I did manage to do my December Daily and work out. Other than that, there wasn’t much personal stuff accomplished. Just a bunch of work.
As I took shots of my first December Daily page, Nathaniel crouched and kept touching my page.
He is the king of facial expressions. Well he and his brother both are.
After I picked David up, we rushed to the doctor for his flu shot and by the time we came home, Jake was already here so as it’s my new goal, I asked him to take some photos of us. Most of them didn’t come out but we got one.
And I loved Nathaniel’s smile in this one.
David kept making super weird faces in most of them. So I asked him to give me a smile, too.
And there we are. Tonight’s book club night so I am trying to rush through my list before I have to leave. Off to light candles now. As I start my december daily posts, I’m thinking I won’t email those if you’re subscribed to me by email. They are often photo heavy and I don’t want to clutter your mailbox more. So come on over to visit the site and see them.
Love December!
Three Things I’m Grateful For:
1. I am grateful that December is here. This is a very special time of the year for me and I am trying to enjoy each moment.
2. I am grateful that I have book club tonight.
3. I am grateful that my parents are here to enjoy a little bit of the season with us.
Three Things David’s Grateful For:
1. having a piece of chocolate {* his pick for the journal}
2. getting a new book
3. singing in music class at school
Love it already. Our tree is not up yet, which is a huge change for us, and I’m missing it. I had a huge smile on my face for the rest of the post when I saw your photo of you and the boys. Perfection. Say hello to your parents and tell them how happy I am to call you friend.
how come your tree is not up yet?
Winter sluggishness in Palo Alto? Hmmmm.
Happy Chanukah!~
I’m a new reader- first time I’ve seen a photo of you! I’m glad you got in front of the camera this time. I love that “toddler crouch”—I wish I had photos of my “now big” boys doing that!
I love your photos of you and the boys and am really glad you’re planning to get more into the pictures. It is really important, as you’ve written so rightly in your guest blog post.
